NeuroGut 2026 was Singapore’s leading conference focused on digestive health, particularly conditions that affect how the gut and brain communicate.

Held in one of Asia’s top medical and research centres, the two-day event brought together experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the world to share the latest research, and explore new approaches to clinical care.

Georgina discussed “Gluten, Wheat or FODMAP” during the “Diet in DGBI” session. Reflecting on the conference, Georgina says “It was a fantastic opportunity to learn about the latest research into disorders involving the gut and brain, from the role of the gut microbiome to the importance of gastrointestinal psychology and new ways of diagnosing these conditions.”

One of her biggest takeaways was the vital role specialist gastrointestinal dietitians play in helping people manage conditions linked to the gut–brain axis, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), functional dyspepsia, gastroparesis, PoTS, and Ehlers–Danlos syndrome.
