Dietary Management
We recognise that the fear of eating due to gut symptoms is very different from avoiding food for other reasons, such as in an eating disorder, and we tailor our support accordingly. Together, we explore the complex connections between food, gut, brain, and pain responses to better understand your unique experience. Using a step-wise approach, we guide you to managing symptoms while gradually reintroducing foods to rebuild dietary variety. Our goal is to help restore enjoyment and confidence in eating, even when fear has developed over time due to persistent symptoms.
We take a holistic view, combining dietary strategies with other lifestyle therapies to create an integrated, evidence-based plan that suits your needs. While working to minimise symptoms, we also focus on building gut health through whole food-based approaches. Ultimately, we aim to improve quality of life by avoiding unnecessary restrictions and supporting a positive relationship with food. With the expertise and empathy, we combine research and clinical experience with a compassionate, individualised approach, then adjust and refine your care together as your needs evolve.
